Carson Ferguson joins Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series at Brownstown and Atomic

Taking advantage of his new ride with the Paylor Motorsports team, Carson Ferguson made the long haul to Brownstown (Ind.) Speedway on Saturday afternoon for the first of two race nights with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.

With 48 Late Models checked in for the Indiana Icebreaker, Ferguson qualified eighth-quickest before jumping two spots in his heat race to record a runner-up finish. Starting seventh in the $15,000-to-win feature, Carson ran inside the Top-10 before fading to 16th.

Traveling to Atomic Speedway (Chillicothe, Ohio) on Sunday for the track's rescheduled Buckeye Spring 50, Carson made the A-Main through his Last Chance Race before recording a 15th-place outing in the $12,000-to-win main event.
