Hunt The Front Super Dirt Series

Carson Ferguson becomes third driver to commit to 2024 Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series season

With a pair of regional Super Late Model touring series titles already on his résumé, Carson Ferguson hopes to add a third, more lucrative, championship this season to his already impressive list of accomplishments. Ferguson, of Lincolnton, N.C., is among the drivers to indicate he plans to follow the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series in 2024.

Ferguson, who will turn 24 on March 22, piloted a Longhorn by Wesley Page car, owned by Page and Donald and Gena Bradsher, to five Super Late Model victories in 2023. He also added a $2,000 602 Crate Late Model triumph behind the wheel of a Derek Dent-owned BMF Race Car.

Ferguson is more than familiar with the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series. Two of last season’s wins, including a career-high $23,000 payday at Swainsboro (Ga.) Raceway on Oct. 7, came under the Hunt the Front banner. Ferguson’s other HTF win was a $10,000 victory on May 19 at Swainsboro, making him one of four drivers to grab multiple Hunt the Front wins during the tour’s inaugural season.

By season’s end, Ferguson reached victory lane with three regional series. A May 5 win with the Ray Cook-promoted Schaeffer’s Spring Nationals at Tri-County Race Track in Brasstown, N.C.; a May 26 Spring Nationals win at I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater, Tenn.; and an Aug. 18 victory in the rescheduled Schaeffer’s Southern Nationals main event at Phenix City’s East Alabama Motor Speedway were among Ferguson’s season highlights. Along with six wins, Ferguson netted nine runner-up finishes and five third-place efforts for an impressive 20 podium finishes last year.

With Hunt the Front Series stops at both Swainsboro and East Alabama this season, Ferguson, the 2019 FASTRAK Touring Champion, could be among the favorites to again park his Longhorn — which will utilize both Vic Hill Racing Engines and Clements Racing Engines and carry primary sponsorship from Hoopaugh Grading Company, Night Owl National Contractors, Tribble Electric, Mega Plumbing of the Carolinas, Live Oak Family Dentistry and WP Racing Shocks — in victory lane with the tour.
