Ferguson weathers rough outing in Tar Heel 53 at Tri-County Racetrack
Fresh off his career-high payday from last weekend, Carson Ferguson trekked to Tri-County Racetrack (Brasstown, N.C.) on Thursday evening to join the Castrol FloRacing Night in America miniseries for the Tar Heel 53.
With 34 competitors signed in, Ferguson stopped the clock seventh-quickest in his group before grabbing the fourth and final transfer spot in his heat race. Rolling off 13th with $23,023 on the line, Carson quickly stormed through the field to the fifth-position, but faded late in the 53-lap feature before pulling off early. He was scored 14th in the final rundown.
