Carson Ferguson races into Dirt Late Model Dream at Eldora
Carson Ferguson traveled to Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) on Thursday afternoon and entered his Hoopaugh Grading Company No. 93 into competition for the 29th-running of the Dirt Late Model Dream.
With 95 Late Models split into two groups, Ferguson qualified 17th-quickest before picking up a couple spots in his heat to earn a spot in the main event. In his $12,000 preliminary feature, Carson ran inside the Top-10 and collected an eighth-place finish to start off the weekend.
For another night of preliminary action, Carson snagged another feature starting position with a runner-up outing in his heat. For another $12,000-to-win preliminary feature, Ferguson recorded his second Top-10 of the weekend in ninth.
Starting on the second row of the first heat on Saturday, Ferguson fell to fifth early but wheeled his way back to snag the third and final transfer spot. Rolling off from the seventh-row in the $129,000 Dirt Late Model Dream, Carson was moving forward but was unable to pass anymore competitors once the track took rubber. He was running 12th when the checkered flag flew.
